Eden Renewables will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior pursuing a career in Green STEM, jobs that benefit the environment or conserve natural resources. This scholarship fund was established, along with the Solar Energy Education Program, as part of Eden Renewables efforts to encourage Green STEM education in the community.
Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic record, demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, work experience, and statement of goals and aspirations. Scholarship recipients will be notified within two weeks of the application deadline, and scholarship will be presented at graduation.
High school senior residing and attending school in the Capital Region
Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA
Accepted into a 2 or 4-year college and enrolled in Green STEM or related discipline
Letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or employer
500-word statement of purpose regarding educational plans and professional aspirations in Green STEM

A copy of the applicant’s most recent report card and acceptance letter from the university or college the applicant plans to attend;
A letter of recommendation from a teacher, counselor or employer. This letter should address how the applicant has demonstrated interest and excelled in Green STEM, leadership skills, and an active commitment to community service; and
A minimum 500-word statement of purpose regarding educational plans and professional aspirations in Green STEM.
